Rubber is the best possible spring as it works in both compression and tension. During kicking the rubber injected into the ribs accumulates elastic energy which is released at the moment the fins change direction. This increases their reactive force, eliminating ‘dead’ changeover time making the fin more propulsive and energy efficient.
Layering
Layering of thermoplastic rubber into recessed ribs on the blade of fins provides the best possible spring effect without changing the natural structure of the fin.
Variable Geometry
Optimising and proportioning of the fin in relation to the muscular force used at the specific phase of kicking, makes swimming less tiring.
Rigid Foot Piece Rib
The rigid material used in the foot piece assists in transmitting all the muscular power through to the flexible fin.
Channelling and Ribbing
Ribs add rigidity to the blade and act as vertical stabilisers (lessening twist) while channels guide the water smoothly over the fin in the correct direction.
Traction Pads
Pads on the sole of the fins give traction on smooth surfaces such as boat decks, rocks and swimming pool tiles.
