Some inexperienced regulator manufacturers constantly change their regulators to try to get their design right. They change core components like the high-pressure seat without provision for retrofitting existing models.

Aqualung created scuba diving and like every great creator they recognise that progress is made through continuous evolution. Each new Aqualung regulator builds on the inherent qualities of its predecessor. Aqualung recognises the need to maintain a parts inventory for existing models.

Take for example the current Aqualung high-pressure seat. While incorporating the latest technology, Aqualung’s high-pressure seat still fits models over three decades old. In fact, just two different high-pressure seats are required to fit any Aqualung regulator sold in Australia or New Zealand during the last three decades.
