A premier S.E.Queensland
dive site with many different
anchorages allowing
numerous visits to this 7 acre
coral reef.With masses of
colourful hard and soft corals
plus all the aquarium fish, this
reef has more different
species of coral than any
other part of the Great Barrier
Reef.
You'll see extensive staghorn
coral gardens,
swim-throughs, canyons,
ledges and pinnacles, with
frequent
turtle,crayfish,leopard shark
and manta ray sightings.
From May through to mid
October humpback whales are
normally sighted as they
migrate with their young. This
is an easy dive with average
visibility 15 metres/50 feet in
summer (water temperatures
to 27 degrees Celsius) and
often 35 metres/120 feet vis
in winter (water temperatures
down to 18 degrees Celsius)
with an occasional slight
current present.
