Flinders Reef

Depth:  3 to 15 metres

A premier S.E.Queensland dive site with many different anchorages allowing numerous visits to this 7 acre coral reef. With masses of colourful hard and soft corals plus all the aquarium fish, this reef has more different species of coral than any other part of the Great Barrier Reef.

From May through to mid October humpback whales are normally sighted as they migrate with their young. This is an easy dive with average visibility 15 metres/50 feet in summer (water temperatures to 27 degrees Celsius) and often 35 metres/120 feet vis in winter (water temperatures down to 18 degrees Celsius) with an occasional slight current present.
