Wedding Cake Island is a small rocky outcrop that sits about one mile offshore from Coogee
Beach. The name comes from the fact that when there are bigs seas running the island is
totally covered in white water which gives it the appearance of an iced cake. Underwater the
diver finds a very diverse dive site.
Wedding Cake Isalnd is another dive that is best enjoyed
on the drift. As a general rule the dive starts at the south eastern point, and the divers make
their way north along a wall that then breaks down into a series of gutters. This is another
dive site which a diver can expect to see a large amount of fish life. The depth range is 0-22
metres.
