The Tasman Peninsula supports numerous
giant kelp forests. Sites we dive
frequently include Fortescue Bay, Deep
Glen Bay and Shag Rock Bay. Superb
forests of the giant Macrocystis kelp
tower as much as 30 metres to the
surface, These bays are also home to
the Common Sea Dragon, Sea Horses,
colorful Boxfish, schools of Jack
Mackerel and Trevally. Access to all of
these sites is by boat. The cliff
formations make shore access impossible.
