1. Towel
2. Swimmers
3. Snorkeling gear and a great sense of adventure!
All other specialised scuba diving gear is loaned to you for the duration of the diving course. To be safe, you'll also need a quick medical check-up before you start the course. Your instructor or dive centre will be able to give you details.
Once you've passed your course and have become qualified, you can hire gear from any diving store in Australia, or around the world simply by showing your certification card.
At the end of the course make sure you ask your instructor about owning your own dive gear.
Owning your own gear is always ideal because using your own equipment on each dive will ensure you are using equipment that is comfortable & familiar (which improves confidence & safety). If you plan to dive regularly it is also alot cheaper. Owning your own gear is also vital if you plan to dive in remote locations away fom a dive store. Your dive centre should be able to show you a range of dive equipment so you can choose what is right for you. Aquanaut have a fantastic payment plan called Aquanaut Ez-Pay.
